Wirecut EDM uses a metallic wire to cut a programmed contour in a workpiece. The wire can be inclined, thus making it possible to make the parts with taper or with different profiles at the top and bottom. The wire is made of brass or coated with zinc. The diameter of wire ranges from 0.02 - 0.33 mm.
